In December 1998 , Asbury Automotive Group acquired Crown Automotive Group comprised of 9 dealerships in North Carolina with 10 franchises including Acura, Honda, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram BMW, Ford, Nissan and Volvo. There also are 5 Crown dealerships with 3 franchises (BMW, Mini and Acura) in Virginia.
